Viola Jump

Bertha Viola Jump, of Independence, KY. and formerly of Mt. Zion, KY. passed away Thursday, April 5 at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. at the age of 89. Mrs. Jump was born February 14, 1923 in Kenton County, KY. to the late Spencer Setters and Bertha Bell Setters. Mrs. Jump was a homemaker and at the time of her passing was a member of the Florence Baptist Temple and she was dedicated to reading and study of the Bible. Mrs. Jump was the widow of Robert Marshall Jump and she was the last of 13 siblings who all have preceded her in death. Mrs. Jump leaves to mourn her passing 4 daughters: Donna G. Ryan of Florence, KY., Patricia A. Jump of Florence, KY., Judy L. (Ron) Harrison of Mason, KY. and Sherry L. (Carl) Clingerman of Falmouth, KY., 2 sons: Robert M. (Karen) Jump, II,of Fredericksburg, VA. and Roy L. (Paula) Jump of Mt. Zion, KY. She has 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Jump will be conducted 1:00 pm Monday, April 9 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Rev. Wayne Cox officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Burial will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
