Orlie J. Jones

Orlie Junior Jones, of Corinth, KY. passed away Saturday, January 28 at his residence at the age of 83. Mr. Jones was born May 7, 1928 in Corinth, KY. to the late William Garfield Jones and Mary Lucy Switzer Jones. Mr. Jones was retired from Johnson Controls in Georgetown, KY. and a farmer. At the time of his passing he was a member of Family Worship Center in Williamstown, KY. and Mr. Jones was a Kentucky Colonel and he enjoyed dancing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by sons: Orlie J. Jones, Jr. on Aug. 21, 1954 and by William Kline Jones on Apr. 2, 2009. Mr. Jones leaves to mourn his passing 3 sons: Clifford (Paula) Jones of Williamstown, KY., Rodney (Michelle) Jones of Erlanger, KY., and Dennis (Janet) Jones of Owenton, KY. 4 daughters: Sheryl (Gary) Adams of Cynthiana, KY., Kathy (Lewis) Burke of Georgetown, KY., Debbie (Steve) Glass of Owenton, KY. and Orlana (Calvin) Sparrow of Corinth, KY. He has 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Jones will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 1 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Rev. Tony McKinnon officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be: Troy Sparrow, Jody Glass, Dwayne Jones, Mark Singer, Chris Smedley and Wesley Claycomb. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Glass, Calvin Sparrow, Gary Adams, Lewis Burke, and Chase Adams. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-9 pm. Burial will be in the New Columbus Cemetery, Owen County.
