Gerald Linville Penick

Gerald Linville Penick, of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Friday, January 13 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY. at the age of 82. Mr. Penick was born July 27, 1929 in Grant County, KY. to the late Luther Penick and Leona Colson Penick. Mr. Penick was a lifelong farmer and sawmill operator and a member of the Dry Ridge Christian Church. He was past president of the Grant County Farm Bureau, formerly served on the Grant County Hospital Board, former state president of the FFA and held the American Farmer Degree from the FFA and was Elder Emeritus at the Dry Ridge Christian Church. Mr. Penick leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Lois Toole Penick, 2 daughters: Linda Taylor and Cathy O'Nan Penick both of Dry Ridge, KY., 2 sons: Jerry Penick and Kevin Penick both of Dry Ridge, KY., 2 sisters, Dorothy Knight of Williamstown, KY. and Helen Johnson of Bloomfield, IN, and 1 brother, Robert Penick of Erlanger, KY. He has 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Penick will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, January 21 at the Dry Ridge Christian Church with Rev. Jerry Summers and Rev. Robert Silvanik officiating. Visitation will be Friday, January 20 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge and on Saturday from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the church. Burial will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
