Marjorie Elaine Godby

Marjorie Elaine Godby, of Florence and formerly of Owenton, KY. passed away Sunday, November 13 at St. Elizabeth Florence at the age of 89. Mrs. Godby was born February 18, 1922 in Owenton, KY. to the late John D. Howard and Veral Whitton Howard. Mrs. Godby was a nurse's aid at the Owenton New Horizons Hospital and formerly worked for MacGregor Co. in Corinth and later in Cincinnati, OH. At the time of her passing she was a member of the Lusby Mill Baptist Church. Mrs. Godby was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Godby in 2005 and by a son, John Edward Fiscus in 1974. Mrs. Godby leaves to mourn her passing a daugher: Kathy Runion of Owenton, KY. and 2 sons: Charles D. Fiscus of Corinth, KY. and Kenneth Lee Fiscus of Owenton, KY. She has 1 brother: John Wilford Howard of Owenton, KY. She also was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Funeral services for Mrs. Godby will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, November 18 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Bro. Kelley Runion officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm. Burial will be in the Souder Cemetery, Owen County.
