Joseph Lewis Smith, Sr., of Williamstown, KY. passed away Thursday, September 8 at his residence at the age of 73. Mr. Smith was born May 14, 1938 in Gilmer County, West Virginia to the late William Smith and Stella Jane Snyder. Mr. Smith was a mechanic for Grant County Concrete in Dry Ridge, KY. and loved to play the guitar since he was 9 years old. In addition to his parents Mr. Smith was preceded in death by a daughter: Regina Smith and by a brother: Leroy Smith. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife: Mary Lou Smith of Williamtown, KY. He has 1 daughter: April Pfund of Louisville, KY. and 2 sons: Joseph L. Smith, Jr. of Covington, KY. and William Smith of Kentucky. 3 step sons: Ronnie Sasher of Crittenden, KY. Larry Hutcherson of Corinth, KY. and Rick Hutcherson of Lexington, KY. 4 step daughters: Cheryl Gries of Coldsprings, KY. Sheila Frasure of San Fransico, CA. Jennifer Mischke of Dry Ridge, KY. and Terrie Frasure of Dry Ridge,KY. He is also survived by 3 sisters: Virginia Metz and Agnes Marie Skinner both of West Virginia and Lorena Thomas of Dry Ridge, KY. and 3 brothers: Franklin Smith of Dry Ridge, KY., Johny Smith of West Virginia and Carl Smith of Dry Ridge, KY. He has 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Smith will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, September 10 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge. Visitation will be there on Saturday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery.
