Charles Henry Perry, of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Monday, July 25 after a short stay at the Grant Manor Nursing Home in Williamstown at the age of 74. Mr. Perry was born August 25, 1936 in Mayfield, KY. to the late Dalton Perry and Nora Kate Bondurant Perry. Mr. Perry graduated in 1955 from the South Fulton High School. Mr. Perry served his country in the US Army and retired from service with the rank of E-8 Master Sergeant having served 2 tours in Vietnam. Mr. Perry later worked as a civilian employee for Dyncorp on Ft. Campbell. He was a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Perry enjoyed woodworking and at the time of his passing was a member of the Riceville Baptist Church in Fulton, KY. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Ann Perry Counsell and her husband, Calvin Counsell. Mr. Perry is survived by his wife: Betty McIntyre Perry and a daughter: Angela (Todd) Riddlebarger of Dry Ridge, KY. He has 1 brother: James Dalton (Margaret) Perry of Fulton, KY. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Dylan Troy Perry Purcell, Dustin Cody Purcell & Chelsea Rene Purcell all of Dry Ridge, KY. He has 2 nieces: Patricia Ann (Gleyn) Twilla of Dyersburg, TN. and Christy (Mike) Hagan of Paducah, KY. he also has 3 cousins. Funeral services for Mr. Perry will be conducted 10:00 am Friday, July 29 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Bro. Dan Turner officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday at the funeral home from 5-8 pm. Burial with military honors will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.
