William J. Tomlin

April 7, 1936 - November 17, 2010

William J. "Bill" Tomlin, of Loveland, OH. passed away Wednesday, November 17 at the Bethesda North Hospital at the age of 74. Mr. Tomlin was born April 7, 1936 in Dry Ridge, KY. to the late William A. Tomlin and Gladys Rigdon Tomlin. He was a retired engineer for Nutone and formerly worked for R & I, Inc. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War and was a long time member of the Air Force Reserve. At the time of his passing he was a member of Eastgate Community Church and a life member of the National Rifle Association. He was a Mason and an enjoyed all things outdoors. He also was an avid gun collector, enjoyed guitars and motorcycles. A favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Tomlin is survived by his wife: Connie Clayton Tomlin. He also leaves to mourn his passing a daughter: Tammy Lynn (Ray) Hughes of Dry Ridge, KY., 2 sons: William Charles Tomlin of Loveland, OH. and Richard Lee (Sandy) Tomlin of Mason, OH. He has one sister: Helen (George) Zerbe of Ashland, OH. Also survived by 4 grandchildren: Raymond Thomas Hughes & Emma Augusta Hughes, both of Dry Ridge, KY., Benjamin Richard Tomlin & Nathan Lee Tomlin both of Mason, OH. Funeral services for Mr. Tomlin will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Pastor Dale Campfield officiating. Visitation will be there on Saturday from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. Burial will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
