Janice Maxine Lawrence Jump, of Mt. Zion, KY. passed away on Thursday, October 28 at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. at the age of 73. Mrs. Jump was born June 15, 1937 in Mt. Zion, KY. to the late Roy Lawrence and Cornelia Green Lawrence. Mrs. Jump was a homemaker and farmer and a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was a member of the church WMU, she sang in the choir and served as the church treasurer. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jump was preceded in death by her husband: Harry Marshall Jump, who passed away on April 25, 2005 and by a brother: Johnny Lawrence. Mrs. Jump leaves to mourn her passing a daughter: Shawna (Ron) West of Mt. Zion, KY. and a son: Robin Jump, of Mt. Zion, KY. She has 2 sisters: Eunice Spegal of Mt. Zion, KY. and Kathleen Webster of Florence, KY. She has 1 brother: Paul Lawrence of Sparta, KY. She has 6 grandchildren: Alisha Johnson, Samuel West, Rosie Jump, Harry Jump, Cornelia Jump and Sarah Jump. Also surviving are 5 great grandchildren: Andrew Long, Aiden Peace, Harry Jump, Seth Johnson, and Addison Johnson. Funeral services for Mrs. Jump will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday, October 31 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Marksberry officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 1-3 pm. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. The Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home of Dry Ridge, KY. has been entrusted with these arrangements.
