Anna Elizabeth Lanter

Anna Elizabeth Lanter of Williamstown, KY. passed away on Friday, September 24 at the home of her daughter in Lexington, KY. at the age of 91. Mrs. Lanter was born November 16, 1918 in Crittenden, KY. to the late John Robert Stephens and Annie Lucy Hutsell Stephens. Mrs. Lanter was a retired post clerk for Post #6, Kentucky State Police at Dry Ridge, KY. and was a longtime member of the Dry Ridge Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for 50 years and more recently taught the Faithful Workers class. Mrs. Lanter was preceded in death by a son: Mike Lanter in 1991 and by a brother: William J. Stephens. Mrs. Lanter leaves to mourn her passing a daughter: Pamela Wainscott and her husband Gary of Lexington, KY. She has 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Lanter will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday, Sept. 28 at the Dry Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Kitchens and Rev. Paul Sisk officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, Sept. 27 from 4-8 pm in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 12:00 pm until the funeral hour at the church. Burial will be in the Conrad Cemetery in Williamstown.
