Anita Lewis

Anita Lewis, of Dry Ridge, passed away Thursday, September 2 at her home at the age of 90. Mrs. Lewis was born July 13, 1920 in Owen County, KY. to the late Herbert Agee and Lillian Thornton Agee. She was a retired waitress for the former Hotel Donald in Williamstown and the former Carlsbad Hotel in Dry Ridge. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Jonesville but attended the Zion Baptist Church in Dry Ridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Lewis who passed away March 2, 1972. Mrs. Lewis is survived by a sister: JoAnn Williams of Ft. Thomas, KY. and caregivers: Lawrence Cammack and Hazel Cammack both of Dry Ridge, KY. In addition, she has several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Lewis will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, Sept. 4 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Howard officiating. Visitation will be there on Saturday from 12:00 noon until time of services. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.
