Laverne Wainscott

Claretta Laverne Wainscott, of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away on Tuesday, August 17 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY. at the age of 72. Mrs. Wainscott was born September 22, 1937 to the late John Plunkett and Virgie Beach Plunkett. She was a homemaker and a member of Elliston Baptist Church where she served as pianist. At her church she was a kitchen worker and worked in Vacation Bible School and she was an avid bingo player. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Paul S. Wainscott who died on April 11, 2001. Mrs. Wainscott is survived by a daughter: Kathy Berger of Dry Ridge, KY. and a son: Steven Wainscott of Crittenden, KY. She has 2 brothers: Robert Plunkett of Williamstown, KY. and Edmond Plunkett of Dry Ridge, KY. Mrs. Wainscott has 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Wainscott will be conducted at 2:00 pm Friday, August 20 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Berger officiating. Visitation will be there on Friday from 11:00 am until time of services. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Zion Station.
