Freda Mae Parr

Freda Mae "Tootsie" Parr, of Norwood, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 5 at the Hospice of Cincinnati at the age of 80. Mrs. Parr was born in Owen County, KY. on February 20, 1930 to the late Dallas Smith and Iva Barber Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Columbus Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband: Frank Parr. Mrs. Parr is survived by 2 daughters: June Ruggles and Nancy Hix, both of Norwood, OH. She has 1 sister: Mary "Sis" Mastin of Norwood, OH. and 2 brothers: Denver "Man" Smith and his wife Wilma of Florence, KY. and Joe Smith and his wife Nita Ann of Milford, OH. She has 2 granddaughters: Shelley Ruggles and her fiance Dave Hines of Norwood, OH. and Frankie Hix of Norwood, OH. She has 1 great grandson: Ty Hix of Norwood, OH. Funeral services for Mrs. Parr will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday, Aug. 8 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Rev. David Dunn officiating. Visitation will be there on Sunday from 12:00 noon until time of services. Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery.
