Mildred Elizabeth Dawalt, of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Thursday, August 5 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Williamstown at the age of 84. Mrs. Dawalt was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1925 in Pendleton County, KY. to the late Frank Brownfield and Mabel Acton Brownfield. Mrs. Dawalt was a farmer and a member of the Knoxville Baptist Church where she served as church organist for 40 years and played the piano prior to that. She was a member of the Kentucky Farm Bureau. Mrs. Dawalt is survived by her husband: John F. Dawalt and a son: John B. Dawalt and his wife Linda of Dry Ridge, KY. She has 1 sister: Burnetta Flairty of Philadelphia, PA. She was preceded in death by a brother: Lester Brownfield. Mrs. Dawalt has 2 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Dawalt will be conducted at 4:00 pm Saturday, Aug. 7 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home with Rev. Josh Landrum and Dr. Dale Beighle officiating. Burial will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
