Dorothy Leona Hammonds

Dorothy Leona Hammonds, of Corinth, passed away on Friday, July 2 while in the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood at the age of 75. Mrs. Hammonds was born September 10, 1934 in Sadieville, KY. to the late Jack Barnhill and Geneva Jones Barnhill. Mrs. Hammonds was a homemaker and in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 daughters: Carolyn Sue Hammonds and Marilyn Scott. She was also preceded in death by a brother: Don Barnhill and by a great grandson: Brenden Miguel Rose. Mrs. Hammonds is survived by a daughter: Debbie Howard of Corinth and 2 sons: David Hammonds of Corinth and Johnny Hammonds of Williamstown, KY. She has a sister: Juanita Lancaster of Georgetown, KY. and a brother: Billy Barnhill of Crittenden, KY. Mrs. Hammond also is survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Hammond will be conducted on Monday, July 5 at 3:30 pm in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth. Visitation will be there on Monday from 1:30 pm until the time of service. Burial will be in the Sadieville Cemetery.
