Anna Ruth Martin

Anna Ruth Smith Martin, of Independence, KY. passed away Wednesday, May 26 in the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. at the age of 80. Mrs. Martin was born June 20, 1929 in Piner, KY. to the late Louis Smith and Gertrude Cook Smith. She was a retired apartment manager and nurse's aid and was a former employee of RCA in Cincinnati. Mrs. Martin was a member of Sherman Baptist Church. Mrs. Martin is survived by 2 sisters: Marie Coldiron of Williamstown, KY., Leetta Doelling of Fort Worth, TX. and 1 brother: John L. Smith of Independence, KY. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Martin will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 29 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home with Pastor David Mills officiating. Visitation will be there on Saturday from 10:00 am until the funeral hour. Burial will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
