George Earl "Bud" Riley, of Crittenden, KY. passed away on Thursday, May 6 at his residence following a long illness at the age of 78. Mr. Riley was born in Elsmere, KY. on June 15, 1931 to the late George Hiram Riley and Eleanore Pennell Riley. He was a retired master plumber and worked previously for B & B in Covington, KY. and Crowson Plumbing and was also a self employed plumber. Mr. Riley served his country during the Korean War in the US Air Force and was a member of the Catholic faith. Mr. Riley was a member of the American Legion Post 137 in Williamstown, KY. and enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and working on classic cars. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 54 years, Geraldine Schulze Riley as well as a daughter: Evelyn Catherine Foltz of Dry Ridge, KY. and 2 sons: G. Steve Riley of Falmouth, KY. and William Earl "Bill" Riley of Corinth, KY. Mr. Riley has 1 sister: Cecilia Dunn of Florence, KY. He has 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren as well as 35 nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Riley will be conducted on Saturday, May 15 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge. Visitation will be there on Saturday from 11:00 am until the funeral hour. Burial with military honors will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY.
