Jessica Evangeline Young

Jessica Evangeline Young, of Berry, KY. passed away Friday, April 23 at the Cedar Ridge Nursing Home in Cynthiana, KY. at the age of 84. She was born July 18, 1925 in Harrison County, KY. to the late Ransom Harrington and Zella Wagoner Harrington. Mrs. Young was a former telephone operator for Bell South and later worked as a bookkeeper for her husband, Johnny Young, who ran a garage for many years in Corinth. She was a member of the Hinton United Methodist Church where she formerly sang in the choir and played the piano. Mrs. Young's husband Johnny passed away April 29, 1999. Mrs. Young is survived by 2 nieces: Terry Carpenter of Georgetown, KY. and Julie Harrington of Cynthiana, KY. She has 2 nephews: Michael L. Harrington and Gregory K. Harrington, both of Cynthiana, KY. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Young suffered the loss of a sister: Betty Ficke and 2 brothers: Buddy Harrington and Bob Harrington. Both brothers and sister passed away in 2009. Funeral services for Mrs. Young will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday, Apr. 27 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home,Corinth. Visitation will be there on Tuesday from 11:00 am until time of service. Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery.
