Paul Allen Jones

Paul Allen Jones, of Georgetown, KY. passed away Friday, April 16 at his residence at the age of 80. He was born May 26, 1929 in Owenton, KY. to the late Amos H. Jones and Sylvia Thorlaxson Jones. He was a retired supervisor for Central District Warehouse in Lexington, KY. and a member of the Lexington American Legion Post 341. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Hudson, Florida and the Eagles of Hudson, Florida. He served his country during World War II in the US Army. He is survived by 4 daughters: Lora (Paul) Nicholas of Stamping Ground, KY., Linda (Scott) Swanson of Denver, CO., Dorothy (Bobby) Zimmerman of Georgetown, KY., and Paula (Len) Groulx of Raleigh, NC. He was preceded in death by a son: Allen Todd Jones in 2008. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Graveside services for Mr. Jones will be conducted on Monday, April 19 at 11:30 am at the New Columbus Cemetery, where burial will also take place. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth.
