John Edsel Kannady

John William Edsel Kannady of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away on Sunday, April 4 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY. at the age of 73. Mr. Kannady was born November 5, 1936 in Elliston, KY. to the late Johnny Kannady and Agnes Elizbeth Alexander Kannady. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and truck driver for Bavarian Trucking in Walton, KY. and formerly worked for Eaton Asphalt. He was preceded in death by his wife: Bernice Kannady on December 18, 1997. He is survived by a daughter: Sandy Taylor of Crittenden, KY. and 3 sons: Gerald Kannady and Danny Kannady both of Dry Ridge, KY. and Tim Kannady of Crittenden, KY. He is survived by 5 sisters: Rita Marie Warren of Georgia, Deborah Teaford of Alexandria, KY., Linda Smith of Bromley, KY., Sheila Smith of Florence, KY. and Judy Jackson of Dry Ridge, KY. He also is survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mr. Kannady is also survived by a very good friend: Mr. Bernie Bruggemann of Walton, KY. Funeral services for Mr. Kannady will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Rev. Don Kannady officiating. Visitation will be there on Thursday from 11:00 am until the funeral hour. Burial will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
