Rosemary Jameison Giles

Rosemary Jameison Giles of Jonesville, KY. passed away on Sunday, March 21 at the Grant Manor Nursing Home in Williamstown at the age of 84. She was born September 21, 1925 in Elliston, KY. to the late Ed Pernell and Sarah Jane Chisolm Pernell. She was a homemaker and a member of the Elliston Baptist Church. She served as a volunteer at the Gallatin Health Care Center and was a former cook at the Glencoe Truck Stop. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Herbert Jameison in 1990 and Willie Giles in 2007. She is survived by 2 daughters: Clara Gordon of Stewartsville, KY. and Sarah Webster of Jonesville, KY. She has 1 son: Herby Jameison, Jr. of Jonesville, KY. She has 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by several step children and grandchildren and she has several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Giles will conducted at 11:00 am Thursday in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Hill officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-9 pm. Burial will be in the Jonesville I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
