Marvin Ransdell Colson

Marvin Ransdell Colson of Burlington, KY., passed away Friday, March 19 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Williamstown, KY. at the age of 86. He was born September 11, 1923 near Keefer, KY. to the late Hendrix Colson and Hallie Wainscott Colson. He was a retired maintenance employee for Diamond International in Norwood, OH. He was a member of God's Community Church in Williamstown, KY., the Linwood Masonic Lodge in Norwood, OH. and he was a 32 degree Mason with the Scottish Rite, Valley of Cincinnati. He was preceded in death by his wife: Ethel Louise Colson on January 20, 1999. He is survived by a daughter: Kathy Brinkman and her husband Rick of Burlington, KY. He has 5 grandchildren: Tony (Becky) Smith, Shannon (Mike) Moore, Amberly Brinkman, Matthew Brinkman and Christina Brendamour. He has 7 great grandchildren. Mr. Colson never met a stranger and always had a smile. He will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. Funeral services for Mr. Colson will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 24 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Rev. Landon Scott officiating. Visitation will be there on Tuesday from 5-9 pm. Burial will be in the New Columbus Cemetery, Owen County.
