Jimmy Dodd Black, 69, of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away on Tuesday, February 9 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Williamstown. He was born July 27, 1940 in Knoxville, TN. to the late Clyde A. Black and Helen Moore Black. He was a retired self employed truck driver. He was a member and past Master of the Crittenden-Dry Ridge Lodge #694 F & AM and he was a past District Deputy Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky. He was a 32d degree Mason in the Indra Consistory of the Scottish Rite in Covington, KY. He is survived by his wife: Della Coffey Black and he has two daughters: Regina Black Stamper and husband Greg of Crittenden, KY. and Karen Black Murphy and husband Michael of Erlanger, KY. He has 3 grandchildren: Michael Stamper and Mason Stamper, both of Crittenden, KY. and Shelby Murphy of Erlanger, KY. He is survived by a sister: Virginia Plott of Brook, IN. and by 2 brothers: Robert Black of Palm Springs, CA. and Clarence Black of Trenton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home with Rev. Raeford Moore officiating. There will be a Masonic Service just prior to the funeral service. Visitation will be there on Saturday from 11:00 am until time of services. Burial will be in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
