Charles Jefferson King

Charles Jefferson King, 92, of Dry Ridge, passed away on Friday, November 6 in the Grant Manor Nursing Home in Williamstown, KY. He was born May 8, 1917 in Taft (Owsley County), KY. to the late Henry Clinton King and Ruth Scott King. He was a retired dock worker for Roadway Express and he served his country during World War II in the US Army. He was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church and the Teamsters Local 100. He was also a farmer and an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Frost King in 1974 and by a son: Charles Henry King in 1958. He is survived by a son: Darrell King of Dry Ridge, KY. and by 3 daughters: Ella Zaritzky of Lancaster, PA., Diana Epperson of Ft. Wright, KY. and Amy Jacobs of Dry Ridge, KY. He has a sister: Jane Sandlin of Bethel, OH. and he has 7 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
