Brenda Joyce Smith, 63, of Williamstown, KY., passed away on Monday, May 11, 2009 while she was a patient in the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Williamstown. She was born May 12, 1945 in Independence, KY. to the late Carrol McFarland and Opal King McFarland. She was a homemaker and an associate for the Dry Ridge Wal-Mart where she had worked for 17 years. She was the widow of the late Robert F. Smith, Sr. who passed away in May of 1991. She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Teresa Smith in 1970. She is survived by a son: Robert F. Smith, Jr. of Williamstown, KY. and by a daughter: Denise Johnson of Frankfort, KY. She is survived by 2 sisters: Kay Gosney of Mt. Jackson, VA., and Bonnie Gentile of Cincinnati, OH. She has 4 grandchildren: Robert F. Smith, III of Heidi Lynn Smith, both of Williamstown, KY. and Logan Cole Johnson and Sarah Grace Johnson, both of Frankfort, KY.
