Donald Lee Hughes, Sr., 63, of Owenton, KY., died Friday, February 13, 2009 at 4:30 pm while in the Frankfort Regional Hospital in Frankfort, KY. He was born December 26, 1945 in Scott County, KY. to the late William Bell Hughes and Georgia Beatrice White Hughes. Mr. Hughes was an electrician for David Glass Electrical and worked in heating and air conditioning. He was active in the South Owen Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the Pentacostal faith. He also served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by a daughter: Melinda Sue Turner of Georgetown, KY., 2 sons: Donald Lee Hughes, Jr. of Georgetown, KY., and William Patrick Hughes of Owenton, KY. 1 Sister: Patricia James of Paris, KY. 1 Brother: Bill Hughes of Georgetown, KY. Also survived by 6 grandchildren.
