Albert Clyde Thomas, age 88, of Williamstown, KY, passed away Thursday morning November 17, 2022 at his residence. Born Sunday November 11, 1934 in Covington; he was the son of the late Dowell Combest and Gertrude Washum Thomas.
On June 2, 1961, he was married to the former Ceberta Clay Stewart; she survives. He retired as a heavy equipment operator for the State of KY Transportation Department. He was also a car inspector for Conrail Railroad and worked for Jim Conrad Tires; he enjoyed farming, carpentry and fishing but will best be remembered for the satisfaction and fulfillment he received from playing the guitar and building furniture. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Methodist Church.
He leaves to carry on his legacy, his wife of 61 years, Ceberta; one daughter: Letha Thomas of Williamstown; one grandson: Andrew (Amanda) Dowell Gay of Williamstown and two great grandchildren: Micah Dowell Gay and Colton Lee Gay. He was preceded in death by a grandson: Christopher Stewart Gay; one brother: Charles Ross Thomas and two sisters: Betty Jean Johnson and Katherine Lucille Ashcraft Harris.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 18, 2022 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown. Funeral services will begin Saturday morning at 11:00 with Bro. Scotty Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
