Mr. Alfred Leroy Marksberry of Glencoe, KY. passed away Monday, December 28 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ft. Thomas, KY. at the age of 69. Mr. Marksberry, better known as "Rusty" to family and friends was born January 31, 1951 in Covington, KY. to the late Dallas Leroy Marksberry and Willa Skirvin Marksberry. Rusty was a retired truck driver and a devoted member of the Concord Pentecostal Church. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and watching car races. He loved to play gospel and country music on his guitar and it gave him great pleasure being able to share this talent and ability for the Lord.
Rusty was united in marriage on April 29, 1988 to Brenda Garland Marksberry and he is survived by his wife of 32 years. He is also survived by a son: Russell Marksberry of Sparta, KY., 2 daughters: Julie Boswell and her husband Jason of Williamstown, KY., Stephanie Swangin and Jeff of Lawrenceburg, KY., a stepson: Richard Ross of Dry Ridge, KY., a stepdaughter: Queena Ross of Verona, KY., a sister: Connie Hamilton of Warsaw, KY., 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Memorial services for Mr. Alfred Leroy "Rusty" Marksberry will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, January 2, 2021 in the chapel of the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton-Verona Rd., Verona, KY. 41092 with Bro. David Bailey officiating. Visitation will also be there on Saturday, January 2 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. If memorial contributions are desired they may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
