Alice Jo Lowther

Alice Jo Caldwell Lowther was born Nov. 20, 1938 in Covington, Kentucky and passed away Nov. 22, 2023 in Westfield, Indiana at the age of 85.  She was the daughter of the late Julian Wilmont and Christine Milner Caldwell.

Alice was a Registered Nurse and worked at several Lexington area hospitals including St. Joseph and VA Hospital.  She graduated from Grant County High School and then went on to study at Kentucky Baptist in Louisville and Berea College.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband Claude W. Lowther, II in 1999.  She is survived by her son, Claude "Buddy" Lowther, III (Jennifer Duffy) of Westfield, IN, her daughter, Amy Jo Lowther of Dallas, TX, and a sister, Pat Matheny (John) of Lexington.

Visitation will be 5-8 pm Monday, November 27, 2023 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown.  Funeral services will be 10 AM Tuesday at Williamstown Baptist Church. There will not be a procession to the cemetery, the burial will be 12:30 pm Tuesday at Vine Street Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati.
