Alma B. Noel Barnes

Alma B. Noel Barnes of Dry Ridge, KY was born February 8, 1939 in Jonesville, KY and died Sunday, March 9, 2025 in Edgewood, KY at the age of 86 years.

She was the daughter of the late John David and Daisy Mae Poland Noel. She was a homemaker and member of the Crittenden Baptist Church. On June 28, 1963 she was united in marriage to her husband, Harold Wayne Barnes Sr. who preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 2018. In addition to her husband and parents, Alma was also preceded in death by a son, Stephen Barnes, and her siblings, Thurman Noel, Denton “Pete” Noel, and Pauline Scroggins.

Alma enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors and enjoying the sunshine, and teaching Sunday School and other church activities.

Surviving: sons, Harold W. “Bud” (Tamara) Barnes of Hurst, TX and Heath L. Barnes of Dry Ridge; daughter, Susan Barnes Leach of Union; 8 grandchildren, Samantha Trimble, Abby Leach, Allison Leach, Cole Barnes, Jenna Dunham, Emily Barnes, Alayna Feller and Jarrod Barnes; and great-grandson, Warren Feller.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 19, 2025, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Elliston Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown and Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow in the Jonesville Cemetery, Jonesville, KY.
