Ann Rose Winegar

Ann Rose Winegar , 81, a Dry Ridge resident, died Thursday September 13, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence, KY. Born December 17, 1936 in Beattyville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Logan and Earsa Jones Rose.

She retired as a Workman’s Comp manager at General Cable in Highland Heights, KY. She graduated from Mundelein College in Chicago, IL with a Master’s Degree in Epidemiology.   She had a special love for ATV’s and had a reputation as a reckless driver. She took her Ping Pong playing seriously and was a monster beast as a Boggle player. Music, outdoors and gardening held a special place in her heart. She was a smart, funny individual that lived an adventurous life; she was full of love, laughter and kindness and she inspired others to do the same. She had a special love for her family and occasionally enjoyed a nice sip of fine wine.

Ann leaves to mourn her passing, two daughters: Karen Winegar of Dry Ridge, KY, Susan Bowen of Milford, CT, one brother: Lenville Rose of Beattyville, KY; one sister: Leota Spencer of Dry Ridge, KY along with many nephews and nieces --- great and greater!!

A memorial service will be conducted on the family properties in Beattyville at a later date at the convenience of the family.
