Archie Coldiron

Mr. Archie Bernard Coldiron, Sr., a Crittenden resident, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the Grant Center in Williamstown at the age of 95.  He was the widower of Eva Jane Welch Coldiron.

Archie was a Maintenance superintendent for the Northern KY Treatment Center in Crittenden for over 20 years.  Archie was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a purple heart recipient.  He was a tobacco and cattle farmer, loved fishing, hunting and was an avid reader.

Archie is survived by three sons, Archie Coldiron, Jr. of Crittenden, KY, Robert (Jean) Givin of Mt. Sterling, KY, Charles (Kay) Givin of Crittenden, KY, four daughters, Millie (Stephen) Grittan of Tryon, NC, Karen Colson of Crittenden, KY, Kathy Coldiron of Rutherfordton, NC, Judy Sebree of Georgetown, KY and thirteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Everette, Ernest and one sister Jewell Huff.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 11:00AM -1:00PM at Elliston Stanley Funeral Home - Crittenden.  Funeral Services at 1:00PM with Bro Jason Dietz officiating.  Burial will follow at the Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge, KY.  Memorial Services are suggested to the Grant County Animal Shelter, 218 Barnes Rd, Williamstown, KY  41097.
