Ardith Lee Scott of Glencoe, Kentucky

October 18, 1941 - November 16, 2018

Ardith Lee Scott , 77, widow of Robert Glenn Scott and former resident of Glencoe, KY, passed away Friday November 16, 2018 at Florence Park Care Center in Florence, KY. Born in Midway, KY on October 18, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Olive Hazel Johnson Bates.

On January 29, 1964, she was married to Robert Glenn Scott in Paris, KY; he preceded her in death on November 10, 2004. She was a 1963 graduate of the University of Kentucky and a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. She retired as a Medical Technologist with St. Luke Hospital in Florence, KY and was a member of Ten Mile Baptist Church for over 50 years .

Survivors include two sons: Robert (Jackie) Scott of Sparta, KY and Andy (Tricia) Scott of Louisville, Ky. Five grandchildren also survive: Cortney (Ryan) Ritter of Cecilia, KY, Jared (Allie) Scott of Bowling Green, KY, Jacob Scott of Sparta, KY, Noah Scott, Jonah Scott and Andy Scott, all of Louisville, KY. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three siblings: Robert Bates, Jr., Janice Gaunce and Angeleen Burkholder.

Visitation will be Tuesday November 20, 2018 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona from 12 Noon till the time of the funeral service at 3:00; Rev. John Rogers will be officiating. Burial will be in the Napoleon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ardith’s memory to Ten Mile Baptist Church
