Barbara Mae Griffin Ballenger

Barbara Mae Griffin Ballenger of Williamstown, KY was born September 25, 1943, in Covington, KY and died Friday, March 5, 2021 in Williamstown, KY at the age of 77.  She was the daughter of the late Earl Wesley and Sylvia May Anderson Griffin.

She was a graduate of Campbell County High School in 1961 and attended Georgetown College.  Barbara was an active member of Williamstown Baptist Church where she was the Missions Friends teacher and director for 22 years, Training Union teacher (grades 4-6) for 7 years, Kitchen Purchasing Supplies Committee for 8 years, teacher of Glory Bound Sunday school class at Parkview Manor for 7 years, long standing member of the Willing Workers Sunday school class and Adult Choir, and served on numerous other committees and helped in other areas where needed.  She loved her church family and Parkview Manor friends.

Barbara is survived by one daughter, Roxanne (John) Howe; one very special granddaughter, Macy M. Howe; one great granddog, Peyton Elizabeth, all of Williamstown, KY; a very special “granddaughter”, Reese Bodenhamer of Dry Ridge, KY; one son, Roger (Rocklin) Ballenger, Jr., of Williamstown, KY, and many cousins.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles “Charlie” Griffin.

Visitation will be Saturday March 13, 2021, at Williamstown Baptist Church, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Williamstown Cemetery, Williamstown, KY.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in her memory to Parkview Manor and Gideon’s International.  Donations should be directed to Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY.
