Barbara Frances Castleman

Barbara Frances Castleman, 81, of Greenwood, passed away on October 3, 2018.  Born on August 1, 1937 in Glencoe, KY to the late Grover Harry and Lillian Frances Baldwin.

She married Kenneth Grayson Castleman on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1957.

She loved being a pastor’s wife at Taylorsville Baptist Church, Eastside Baptist Church in Homestead, Florida and attended First Baptist Church of Greenwood, and Christ’s Fellowship in Palmetto Bay.

Barbara worked as a secretary at International Harvester and Hyster Forklift Company in Cincinnati, Ohio.  She was in the President’s Club as an Avon representative for over 20 years, and she was a cook at Argos United Methodist Church Day Care.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family.

Survivors include, her children, Aaron (Rev. Joyce) Castleman and Esther (Theodore) Castleman Herrmann; grandchildren, Elizabeth Castleman, Hunter Castleman Herrmann, Hudson Castleman Herrmann, Scholar Castleman Herrmann; and step grandchildren, Theodore Herrmann, Jr., and Lucia Herrmann.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Grayson Castleman.

Rev. Joyce Castleman will conduct a graveside service Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge, Kentucky.  Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge, Kentucky will be handling those arrangements.
