Barbara Lee Gutman , 79, of Williamstown, KY died Friday December 11, 2020 at Gallatin Health Care in Warsaw, KY. Born May 2, 1941 in Batavia, OH, she was the daughter of the late Earl Vinson and Marjorie Helen Buschle Parsons.
On Christmas Day 1961 at Williamstown Christian Church Barbara was united in marriage to Roy Wade Gutman; he survives. She retired as a Program Coordinator for the University of Kentucky Extension Office in Grant Co. She previously served as the secretary to the Principal at Grant Co. High School and served as secretary to the Judge Executive of Grant Co. She was a member of the Grant Co. Homemakers and was a charter member of First Christian Church in Florence; her current membership is at Williamstown Christian Church. Among her hobbies and interests she loved sewing and shopping but her greatest fulfillment came from her grandchildren whom affectionately loved her as “Grammy”.
Barbara leaves to carry on her legacy her husband of 59 years, Wade Gutman; two sons: Troy (Amy) Gutman of Williamstown, Tim (Mattie) Gutman of Dry Ridge; one daughter: Gina (Roger) Harden of Lafayette, IN; two brothers: Rodger (Terry) Parsons of Chattanooga, TN, David (Kim) Parsons of Union, KY and two sisters: Molly (Robert) Taylor of Murfreesboro, TN and Kay (Randy) Smith of Dayton, TN. Twelve grandchildren also survive: Joseph, Ryan, Sarah, Olivia, Emma, Ethan, Aaron, Adam, Collin, Shelby, Cooper and Grayson.
Visitation will be Tuesday December 15, 2020 at Stanley Funeral Homes (Williamstown location) from 11:00 to 2:00. Funeral services will be Tuesday December 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Wally Rendell officiating. Burial will follow in Williamstown Cemetery.
