Barbara Ravenscraft Kelly

Mrs. Barbara Anne Ravenscraft Kelly, a Dry Ridge resident, passed away at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the age of 83.  She was the widow of the late Kenneth Kelly.

Barbara was born on November 13, 1938 in Cynthiana, KY to the late A.J. Ravenscraft and Mary Blanche Carr Ravenscraft.  She married Kenneth Kelly on August 8, 1959.  She is survived by two sons, John Kelly of Dry Ridge, KY, Mark (Terri) Kelly of Fairfax, VA, two daughters, Mary Kelly of Lexington, KY, Julia Kelly of Dry Ridge, KY, one brother, AJ "Buddy" Ravenscraft of Cynthiana, KY, one brother-in-law, Richard Schwartz, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and her cat Shadow.  In addition to her husband Kenneth, she is preceded in death by her sister, Jean Schwartz.

Barbara was a retired nurse.  She formerly worked for the Grant Co. Hospital, St. Elizabeth Hospitals, Grant Co. Ambulance Squad and Carlsbad Nursing Home.  She was a member of the St. Edward's Catholic Church.  She enjoyed waterskiing, fishing, boating, camping, working in her flower and vegetable gardens, and loved gameshows.

A graveside service will be private for the family at the St. Edward's Catholic Church Cemetery in Cynthiana, KY.  Rev. "Milkweed" Wotier will be officiating.
