Barbara Allen Slater Kinmon

Barbara Allen Slater Kinmon of Burlington, KY was born November 16, 1935 in Grant County, KY and passed away Friday, August 5, 2022 in Union, KY at the age of 86.

She was the daughter of the late Albert Sidney and Cecil  Maude Slater. On March 18, 1972 she was united in marriage to Louis B. Kinmon who preceded her in death on February 12, 1997. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 son, Don Johnson, and her 6 siblings, Malcom Slater, Alma Quenlen, Mildred Tomlin, and Jean Armentrout, Ercel Slater and Infant Slater.

Barbara loved the lord and going to church. Her little family in Burlington meant the world to her. She was a member of the Florence Baptist Temple. She did some babysitting for many years and loved children. She was a hard worker and homemaker on the farm.

Surviving is her son, Randy Johnson of Richwood; 2 daughters, Patty (Ronnie) Kinman of Dry Ridge and Carolyn (Jeremy) King of Burlington; 4 granddaughters, Krystal Stroup Aaron of Shepherdsville, Sheena Kinman of Dry Ridge, Samantha (Charles) Farber of Louisville, and Emily Johnson of Florence; 1 grandson, Christian King of Burlington; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at the Florence Baptist Temple, followed by burial in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge. Visitation will also be Tuesday 10:30-12:00 noon at the church.
