Barbara Sue Mcneill

Barbara Sue McNeill, 74, of the Clifton Community of Cincinnati, passed away November 8, 2019 in Miami Township.  Born April 11, 1945 at Booth Hospital in Newport, she was the daughter of the late Archie Nelson and Sadie Marie Wilson McNeill.

Barbara was employed by Hughes Aircraft in Culver City, CA, where she designed manuals for their aircraft. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA).  She later moved back to the Cincinnati area where she earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work. Her compassion for the homeless and working with the social issues of the constituents of greater Cincinnati and helping them meet their need became her genuine devotion. She also was involved in the arts community of Cincinnati.  She was a member of Cornerstone Apostolic Church in Covington.

Survivors include her daughter: Larisa Holloman of Stafford, VA; one grandson: Steve Holloman of Stafford, VA; one brother: William Nelson McNeill of Fort Thomas, KY and a sister: Sharon (Billy) Roland of Covington, KY.

In fulfilling Barbara’s wishes, her cremated remains will be interred at Williamstown Cemetery in Williamstown, KY. Barbara’s family has entrusted Stanley Funeral Homes with final arrangements.
