Beatrice Collins Atha

Beatrice L. Collins Atha was born November 26, 1921 in Grant County, Kentucky and passed away July 1, 2023 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 101.  She was the daughter of the late Ashby Rankin and Cora Dean Castleman Collins.

In May of 1945 Beatrice was united in marriage to Barnett Glennis Atha who preceded her in death on June 24, 1983.  She is survived by her daughter, Janet Mason, of Dry Ridge; a grandson, Chad (Lora) Mason, of Dry Ridge; a granddaughter, Paige (Tony) Noel, of Crittenden; and two great grandchildren, Elijah Montgomery Mason and Brooklynn Gabriella Mason.

In addition to her husband, Beatrice was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Toad Collins, Brackie Collins, Kay Collins and James Collins.

She was a devoted member of Dry Ridge Baptist Church and a homemaker.  In her free time she enjoyed sewing, especially quilting.  She also loved gardening and canning.  But her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge.  Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
