Bernard August Reeves, 78, of Dry Ridge, KY, died on Tuesday June 15, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Care in Edgewood. Born Wednesday April 12, 1944 in Covington, KY, he was the son of the late Bernard and Dorothy Reeves. After 36 years with the United States Postal Service, in 1995 he retired. He was a graduate of Holy Cross High School in Latonia; he attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and honorably served his country in the U. S. Navy; his last placement before his discharge was at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He loved his cats and enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds, attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and was a member of American Legion - Post 203 in Latonia. He also grew up in the Catholic faith in Covington, but attended Mount Carmel Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory, one son: Bernie (Jody Loucks) Reeves of Dry Ridge; his former wife: Linda Reeves of Dry Ridge; two brothers: Jim (Kathy) Reeves of Villa Hills, John Reeves of Edgewood; two sister-n-laws: Catherine Reeves of Erlanger, Debbie Reeves of Florida, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Bill Reeves and Larry Reeves. Visitation will be Monday June 20, 2022 at Stanley Funeral Homes (Williamstown) from 10:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 12:45 with Father Benton Clift, Sr. officiating. Arrival time at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – North (KVC-N) at 2:00 with full Military Honors observed.
