Berzelius Clifford Wagner, 91, of Dry Ridge, KY, died Saturday April 3, 2021 at his residence after a lengthy illness. Born Friday May 10, 1929 in Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of the late Berzelius Stephen and Lois Strohm Wagner.
On January 24, 1969, Berz, as he was affectionately known, was united in marriage to the former Patricia Katherine Steffen. In 1992, Berz retired as an Electrical Engineer with Cincinnati Bell Telephone. Upon graduating from the University of Kentucky, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. When he was not working on the farm he loved trail riding and golfing. He was a member of the UK Alumni Association, NRA and Fort Thomas Baptist Church.
Berz leaves to carry on his legacy, his wife of 52 years, Patricia Wagner; two daughters: Cynthia (Jim) Sims of Durango, CO, Janis Wagner of Dry Ridge; three sons: Bradley (Sandra) Wagner of West Harrison, IN, Berz (Louise) Wagner of Fort Thomas, KY, David (Mary) Wagner of Bayfield, CO and one brother: William “Bill” (Barbara) Wagner of Grants Lick, KY. Seven grandchildren also survive: Jessie Wagner, Cassie Wagner, Ryan Wagner, Jeff Wagner, Chrissy Wagner, Melissa Strait and Erin Sims, along with seven great-grandchildren.
A Celebration Life will be held on the Wagner Family Farm on Sunday May 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
