Betsy Mercedes Greenley

June 28, 1925 — December 10, 2020

Betsy Mercedes Greenley was born June 28 1925 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan and passed away December 10, 2020 at her residence in Cynthiana, Kentucky at the age of 95.  She was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Rosella Peltier Pelkey.  She was also preceded in death by her husband: Richard Greenley.

Mercedes was a pottery maker for 22 years and a nurses aid for 13 1/2 years before retiring.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed keeping diaries with daily entries.

Mercedes was a former member of Williamstown Baptist Church and member of New Columbus Baptist Church in Corinth.

She is survived by a niece: Claudia Schulte of Mt. Clemens, MI; a nephew: Jody Meldrum of Mt. Clemens, MI; a cousin: Ray Ruehle of Ft. Myers, FL; friends: Peggy Sowder of Cynthiana, Carol Dixon of Corinth and Marietta Hedges of Williamstown; and special friend: Ed Fogle of Berry.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, December 14, 2020 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown.  Visitation will also be Monday from 11:00 - 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow in the Williamstown Cemetery.
