Bettie Lee Alexander

Bettie Lee Sturgeon Alexander was born December 12, 1929 in Walton, Kentucky and passed away March 22, 2021 at her residence at the age of 91.  Bettie was the daughter of the late Clarence and Hattie Straub Sturgeon.

On Dec. 10, 1950, Bettie was united in marriage to Carl Eldon Alexander who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Chester Sturgeon.

Bettie is survived by 3 daughters: Patty Pollack of Union, Karen Nelms of Walton and Paula Alexander-Dorger of Walton; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

She was a member of Richwood Presbyterian Church in Richwood.  Bettie retired from Provident Bank as a manager after 45+ years of service.  In her spare time she loved golfing.

Funeral services will be 2:30 PM, Monday, March 29, 2021 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona with Rev. Gene Weaver officiating.  Visitation will be 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM, Monday, at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Richwood Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
