Betty Lou Fisher

October 12, 1949 — September 18, 2021

Betty Lou Fisher, 71, of Dry Ridge, KY, entered her heavenly home on Saturday September 18, 2021.  Born October 12, 1949 in Hyden, KY, she was the daughter of the late James Estill and Mary Lee Estep Vancleve.

On August 2, 1965 in Covington, KY, she was united to Rodney L. Fisher, a union that lasted 56 beautiful years. She served as a waitress at Skyline Chili in Florence for many years. She will long be remembered for her beautiful smile, which was reflective of her love and commitment to the Lord; her walk with the Lord matched her talk with the Lord.  Listening to Gospel music was a favorite pastime.  She loved passing out Hershey’ kisses to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren…after she received her hugs from them!!! The greatest legacy she leaves is best stated by a son: “Mom prayed for everybody; she was always willing to reach out to help whatever the need might be, regardless of who it was.  She relished every opportunity to tell people about the love of Jesus.  She faithfully served the Lord through her church, Community Family Church in Independence.

She leaves to carry on her love and witness, her husband, Rodney L. Fisher; two sons: Kenneth (Penny) Fisher of Dry Ridge, Timothy (Michelle) Fisher of Dry Ridge; two brothers: Ronnie (Margie) Vancleve of Erlanger, Ricky Vancleve of Williamstown and one sister: Lena (Carl) King of Florence.  Six grandchildren also survive: Karen Spurlock, Tiffany Albert, Carissa Stamper, Mariah Snyder, Tina Beeke, and Clayton Drewyor, along with 14 great-grandchildren: Grace Spurlock, Jackson Fellows, Esther Albert, Enoch Albert, Finleigh Stamper, Truett Stamper, Jed Snyder, Elaine Drewyor, Sarabeth Beeke, Sean Beeke, Erica Beeke,  Ace Drewyor, Brock Drewyor and Cash Drewyor. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Vancleve and a sister, Connie Vancleve.

Visitation will be Thursday September 23, 2021 at Stanley Funeral Homes, Williamstown location from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 with Rev. Tommy Bates officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fisher Family Cemetery on Sugar Creek Road in Dry Ridge.
