Betty Ann Smith

Betty Ann Hensley Smith was born February 15, 1941 in Verona, Kentucky and passed away September 25, 2023 in Florence, Kentucky at the age of 82. She was the daughter of the late William Cody and Martha Belle Webster Hensley.

Betty retired as an administrative assistant for Ernst and Young. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles in her free time. She also enjoyed a variety of sports. She loved going to horse races as well as playing and watching golf. She was also an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and the Kentucky Wildcats.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Smith, and two brothers, James Hensley and Terry Hensley.

Betty is survived by two brothers: Donald Hensley of Dry Ridge and Gary Hensley (Vicki) of Walton; three sisters: Gayle Smith of Bellevue, Bobbi Riesenbeck (Robert) of Florence and Shelia Hensley of Dry Ridge; and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
