Betty Eloise Wright

Betty Eloise O’Banion Wright, 76, of Dry Ridge, KY, passed away Monday December 13, 2021 at her residence.  Born Wednesday January 17, 1945 in Mason, KY, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Frances Gray O’Banion.

On March 12, 1965 Betty was married to Kline Wright; he survives. She was a graduate of Grant Co. High School and attended Business College.  She served as a secretary for R.L. Polk and Westinghouse Electric; most recently, she was the Administrative Assistant for Wright Trucking.  She was highly regarded as an outstanding seamstress. Cheering on the U.K. Basketball team was one of her greatest enjoyments. She was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors, in addition to her husband of 56 years, Kline, include two grandchildren: Michaela (Eddy) Jones-Poblete of Dry Ridge, Trenton Jones of Louisville, whom affectionately called her "Nana" and two brothers: David O’Banion of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Harold “Buzzy” (Brenda) O’Banion of Dry Ridge.  She was preceded in death by her two children: Michael Wright and Angela Jones.

Visitation will be Friday December 17, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes (Williamstown location).  Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Howard Chipman officiating.  Burial will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery.
