Bettye Jo Saylor

Mrs. Bettye Jo Saylor of Crittenden, KY. passed away Wednesday, February 17 at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. at the age of 87.  Mrs. Saylor was born August 12, 1933 in Corinth, KY. to the late Ottis Cleo Harris and Mildred Christina Hutcherson Harris.  Mrs. Saylor was a self employed hairdresser and owned and operated Bettye's Beauty Shop in Crittenden, KY. for many years.  Mrs. Saylor was a long time devoted member of the Corinth Christian Church where she had taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and was a member of the Ladies Aid.  Mrs. Saylor is fondly remembered by her family for her love and dedication to her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Saylor was preceded in death by her husband: Roger L. Saylor on October 4, 2012 and by a sister: Melrose Jane Hazlett.

Mrs. Saylor is survived by 2 sons: J. O. Saylor and his wife Suzanne of Crittenden, KY., Leo Saylor and his wife Pam of Crittenden, KY., 2 sisters: Bobbie Jean Harris of Lexington, KY., Martha Joy Harris of Williamstown, KY., Grandchildren: Shawn Saylor and his wife Dana, Rebekah Saylor, Jordan Saylor and his wife Deasia, Joey Saylor and his wife Sara, Janna O'Nan and her husband Seth, and Jill Saylor.  Great Grandchildren: Clay Onan, Wren Onan and Vivian Saylor.  She has 2 nieces: Jennifer Bates and Dana Marie Hazlett and 2 nephews: Matthew Bates and his wife Rachael and Robert Saylor and she has a great nephew: Jude Bates.

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jo Saylor will be conducted 4:00 pm Sunday, February 21 at the Corinth Christian Church with Rev. Quintin McNabb officiating.  Visitation will also be Sunday, February 21 at the Corinth Christian Church from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.  Burial will be in the Eckler Cemetery, Corinth, KY.   If memorial contributions are desired they may be directed to the Corinth Christian Church.  The Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home of Dry Ridge, KY. has been entrusted with the arrangements for Mrs. Saylor.

Masks or facial coverings will be required for those attending and social distancing guidelines are requested to be observed.
