Bobby Franklin Masters

Bobby Franklin Masters was born March 21, 1940 in Richmond, Kentucky and passed away April 26, 2020 at his residence in Verona, Kentucky at the age of 80.  He was the son of the late Emmett Ray and Maddie Lou Coates Masters.

Bobby was a retire Crew Chief for the Covington Independent Schools and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a very active member of the Verona Life Squad and the Verona Volunteer Fire Department where he formerly served as Fire Chief.  He enjoyed woodworking and loved being outdoors and especially mowing his yard.

On March 10, 1967 Bobby was united in marriage to Joyce Kaye Jones Masters.  In addition to his wife of 53 years, he is survived by two daughters: Deborah Ann Stokley and her husband Michael of Verona and Karen Lee Masters of Verona; one grandson: Caden Stokley; and several nieces and nephews.

Bobby was preceded in death by a daughter: Laura Kaye Masters; a brother: Kenneth Masters; and two sisters: Colleen Waugh and Eva Lee Kinman.

Due to the Covid 19 restrictions from the government, graveside services will be private.  A procession to the cemetery will take place at 12:30 PM, Friday, May 1, 2020 from Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona to New Bethel Cemetery.  Anyone one who would like to honor Bobby can take part in the procession by lining up in the funeral home parking lot.  Under the restrictions, NO ONE MAY EXIT THEIR VEHICLES at the funeral home or the cemetery.  A drive-by graveside visitation will follow the procession from 12:45-1:30PM at New Bethel Cemetery.
