In Loving Memory of Brenda Sue (Meece) Lewis
March 24, 2025 | Age 73
On March 24, 2025, our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother graduated from soul school (life on earth) with honors and went home to the loving arms of our Creator. At 73 years old, Brenda Sue Lewis passed peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family and the grace of God, whom she devoted her life to serving.
Sue lived with quiet strength, joyful purpose, and deep faith. A dedicated member of her church community, she walked closely with God and left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know her. Whether delivering the Sunday school message before a sermon, leading prayer circles and Bible studies, or simply sharing casual conversations with her fellowship, she made those around her feel seen, loved, and encouraged.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Tony Lewis, and her three loving sons—Bobby, Brian, and Branden—all of whom are married and carry her values forward in their own homes.
Her legacy lives on through a beautiful and growing family. Bobby and wife Lucinda is the proud father of three sons. Brian and wife Jeni's family includes two sons, two daughters, and five cherished granddaughters. Branden and wife Tina's family includes two sons and a daughter. She is also survived by her brothers, Phil Meece, Chris (Marie) Meece, and sister, Valerie (Bob) Miles.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Angela Valentour Meece, and her father, Leo Henry Meece.
To her family, she was a guiding light, a spiritual anchor, and the heart of every gathering. Her faith taught her—and us—that life’s trials are sacred lessons and that love is the most authentic expression of God’s presence. She approached this world as a classroom for the soul, and her graduation is not an end but a beginning.
Though we mourn her absence, we also celebrate her life and the lessons she taught us—lessons of kindness, faith, resilience, and love.
A funeral service will be held at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 29, 2025, with visitation 11:00am-1:00pm Saturday at the funeral home.
