Brenda Kay Mann, 71, of Demossville, KY, passed away on Thursday May 4, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center - Florence. Born on February 2, 1952 in Gardnersville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Roy J. and Emma Jean Taylor Bowen.
On January 15, 1971 Brenda was united in marriage to Donald Mann; he preceded her in death on May 26, 2015. For many years, she, along with her late husband, owned and operated the Bowen & Mann Grocery Store in Gardnersville. She was a dedicated homemaker; who loved utilizing her gifts in sewing, crocheting and making wedding flowers for her family and friends. Spending time vacationing with family in the Great Smoky Mountains and Land Between the Lake were among her favorite adventures, but she will be best remember for her two greatest qualities: her uncanny way of endearing herself to her family and being an avid cat lover. She was a member of Gardnersville Baptist Church.
Brenda is survived by two brothers: Jeffrey Bowen of Demossville, David Mitchell Bowen of Dry Ridge; one sister: Connie Sumpter of Demossville and two special nephews: Chris (Tricia) Mann and Stacy (Naomi) Wilson along with numerous other nephews and nieces and last but curtaining not least, the love of her life, her two cats: Sampson and Sunshine.
Visitation will be Thursday May 11, 2023 from 5:00 till 8:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown. Visitation will continue Friday morning at 11:00 and go until the time of the funeral at 12 Noon with Rev. Joe Kozar officiating. Burial will follow in Gardnersville Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Donald.
